NGO  Forum  facilitates  training  as  the  process for capacity building of its partners and the grassroots people. The Forum-facilitated training creates a strong human skill base through a gradual emanation of WatSan knowledge, novelty and technical know-how. Both the in-house and  tailor-made  training course facilities are available at NGO Forum, and those are provided mostly in a decentralized fashion.

The major themes of the Forum's training courses are:

 to devise a training system ensuring gradual transfer of knowledge and skills to the partner NGOs and from  there  to  the  grassroots  people  to  make  the  WatSan  programme  more strengthened and sustainable;
to  ensure  implementation  and  maintenance   of  the   Forum-provided  hardware  facilities,  and  hygiene awareness and practice by the community people;
to  build  up  capacity  of  the partner organizations about the total organizational and of the WatSan programme.

Training Team

A 12-member Training Team with 12-15 years of experience in WatSan and training has been working with NGO Forum. Members of the central training team are also engaged in providing support to develop human potentials on WatSan in country and abroad. The central training team is comprised by a combination of social and technical experts specially in the field of WatSan promotion.
Countrywide Training Network

Apart from the central team, Training cell has a countrywide network of 80 Core Group Trainers who provide training services in a decentralized manner. The Core Group Trainers are based in partner NGOs/CBOs at community level and are contributing to human resources development for sustainable WatSan programme through 13 regional training centres.

To provide quality services, Training Cell has developed a resource pool with national and international professionals for reviewing, developing training modules and materials including facilitation. The pool members are:

Training Services

To make it easy and affordable for the grassroots level participants to avail the training opportunities along with minimizing time and cost in an effective manner NGO Forum has decentralized its training services and facilities to 13 well-equipped Regional Training Centres strategically located to cover the whole country. A decentralized operational mechanism has been functioning to run all the regional training centres with active participation of Core Group Trainers. All the centres are well equipped with modern training aids, materials and full-furnished accommodation for the trainees and trainers.

How to Apply  
Along with the scheduled training programmes of NGO Forum, both the training centres at central and regional level are also rented out to other organizations for training and workshop. In this connection, desiring organization/agencies will have to apply in written to the Chief, Training Cell for central training centre and respective Regional Manager for regional training centre at least one month in advance.
