NGO Forum is the apex networking and service delivery agency of NGOs, CBOs (community based organization) and private sector and civil society actors who implement water and sanitation (WatSan) programmes at the unserved and underserved rural and urban communities.

NGO Forum works as development partner with all relevant national and international agencies and stakeholders ranging from the government and civil society to donor organizations.    

   


District Consultation

As part of the advocacy initiative “Be Beside the Hard-to-Reach” NGO Forum arranged the District Consultations ...


Bangladesh has several difficult and hard-to-reach geo-physical locations like the char area, the haor area, the off-shore island, the hill tracts. The tea garden people are hard-to-reach because of the administrative barrier. The geo-physical and livelihood pattern of the people of these areas are the most distinct and difficult in terms of communication and moderate civil amenities. For the promotion of sustainable Public Health situation in these hard-to-reach areas, NGO Forum upholds a special commitment to ensure these disadvantaged people’s right to safe water supply, environmental sanitation and hygiene habits combating the challenges of climate change.

On way to reach this goal NGO Forum has been running an advocacy campaign titled, ‘Be Beside the Hard-to-Reach’ and as part of it the Forum has organized a series of Consultations in different hard-to-reach areas like the coastal belt, char areas, haor, hill and tea garden on Searching the Ways for Safe Water and Sanitation Facilities for the Hard-to-Reach. The findings which emerged from the Consultations will help to contribute rightly to formulate further strategies to ensure water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in the hard-to-reach and pocket areas acknowledging the people’s right to these services.
