The main theme of NGO Forum's Development Communication services is to assist and empower its partners and other stakeholders playing the key-actor role to promote the WatSan programme. The Development Communication services provide aid to support WatSan and hygiene promotion. NGO Forums communication strategies emphasizes specialized input and sectoral coordination, and ensures participation of both women and men in the process of developing the information, education and communication (IEC) and Behavioral change communication (BCC) materials from analysis to production and distribution.

distributed and used in these services which contribute a lot of help promote the KAP of the target people.NGO Forum develops its IEC and BCC materials following the “P’ process-the five step structure for effective communication. The focus remains on the community people in every step, i.e. analysis, strategic design, development, pre-testing, production, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of impact. The receptability of and effect on the community people are considered very keenly in this process. Before finalization of the products, the field testing of the materials and due sharing with the sector professionals are carried out.
NGO Forum puts special focus on avoiding duplication of efforts in this field and ensuring coordination among the sector agencies. The distribution mechanism of these materials is very much systematic and well-organized which contributes in ensuring positive results. NGO Forum’s wide range of IEC and BCC materials have the feasibility to be used in almost all types of sectoral activities. NGO Forum’s development communication materials are not only used in its own activities but also by other agencies. |
