In order to keep up its unique role as a key actor in the national WatSan sector, NGO Forum maintains a continuous and uninterrupted chain of strong advocacy and networking combining it with dissemination of relevant, comprehensive and up-to-date sectoral and organizational information. In line with its mandate to serve effectively as the apex networking and service delivery agency NGO Forum makes continuous coordination and collaboration among and with its partner organizations, sectoral stakeholders, gives special focus on creating favourable sectoral policy environment by promoting different policy and strategy issues, advocates for uniform policy implementation, for preventing duplication of efforts and for complementing each other for sector promotion. Combining these efforts NGO Forum runs it’s Advocacy & Information Services among various cross section of people ranging from the grassroots people to the policy-making authorities covering the civil society and different catalyst groups.
Advocacy Services:
NGO Forum places advocacy high on its agenda in order to contribute in ensuring good governance and social justice by means of a perfectly united effort from all potential allies. Hence the Forum pursues different agencies and stakeholders implementing their programmes in line with the National WatSan Policy to ensure a rapid progress of the sector.
The Advocacy Services have been kept functional through collaboration, coordination, networking, lobby, policy advocacy, social mobilization, liaison, etc with different sectoral and trans-sectoral stakeholders. The target group of NGO Forum’s Advocacy Services includes the main partners, opinion leaders, local government bodies, different community groups, private sector actors, mass media, legislative level, donor bodies, different government agencies and other relevant actors in the sector.
